This blog is a space where I share lessons, projects, and reflections from my journey in the creative communications world (I’m talking life after Creative Communications at Red River College Polytechnic). I’ll be documenting my growth as an artist, creative communicator, photographer, videographer, graphic designer, and writer.

You can expect tips and tricks, creative projects, behind-the-scenes content, personal updates, and articles on topics that inspire me. Some posts will be practical, others more reflective—but all of them will be honest.

Have suggestions? I’d love to hear them—leave a comment and let me know what you’d like to see.

Thank you for visiting and supporting my journey as an artist

Thank you for taking the time to explore my work. I’ll continue updating this blog with new projects and portfolio pieces as I grow as a creative communicator—across photography, videography, graphic design, writing, and basic web development.

My journey started with photography. My aunt was a photographer, and my mom filled scrapbooks with hundreds of photos. It was always part of my life. So when I had the chance to try it in school, it felt natural.

After seeing how much I loved using my point-and-shoot camera, my family gifted me my first DSLR in 2011. From there, things grew quickly.

At a young age, my work was featured in local and Canada-wide exhibitions, as well as digital and print publications. Photography became more than a hobby—it was something that could sustain itself. But eventually, I felt like I had hit a ceiling creatively.

That’s what led me to enroll in the Creative Communications program at Red River College Polytechnic in 2019. There, I expanded my skill set through journalism, public relations, media production, and advertising & marketing communications. It was intense—like writer’s bootcamp—with constant deadlines, press releases, and long-form articles. I also developed skills in graphic design and coding.

As a creative in Winnipeg, wearing multiple hats isn’t optional—it’s essential.

Now, as I transition from working jobs into building a career, I carry those lessons with me. My experience in retail, sales, and customer service shaped how I approach communication: valuing people over profit, building long-term relationships, and leading with empathy.

If you want a crash course in crisis management, try working a retail shift during the holidays.

Many Winnipeggers may recognize me from my time at Don’s Photo, where I helped customers find their first cameras, print meaningful memories, and troubleshoot technical challenges. I put everything I had into that role—raising the bar for myself and the people around me.

I built relationships there that still matter to me today. Even though I left on a bittersweet note, I now see that experience for what it was: a meaningful stepping stone.

Looking to hire?

I am currently seeking full-time opportunities in communications and creative strategy.

If you or your organization need support with social media, strategic campaigns, event planning, media relations, or web content, I’d love to connect.

I’m open to relocation for the right opportunity, and I’m particularly interested in remote or hybrid roles.

I’m a collaborative, self-driven and self-aware team member who values both feedback and independence. Give me an idea, and I’ll run with it.

I’m inspired by a “say yes and figure it out” mindset—but I also believe strongly in boundaries and work-life balance. I do my best work when I’m engaged, curious, and creatively energized. A good creative brief helps, too.

I take pride in staying current with trends, refining my craft, and consistently delivering thoughtful, high-quality work.

If that aligns with what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out through my Contact page or email me directly at [email protected].
