Wall Mural – CreComm Assignment

In this assignment, we created a wall mural by designing a mural with Adobe products, such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

*The photographs used in the mural design itself were from stock photographs (the Elder, the Eagle, the Tipi).

I wanted to create an Indigenous-inspired mural for the Osborne Village area. I used bright, bold colours to stay fun and trendy like the area.

Lastly, I took a photograph of a wall in Osborne Village and edited the mural into it to show what it would look like once it was done.

Ginaya Jesmer - Infographic on intergenerational trauma with a Indigenous perspective

Infographic – CreComm Assignment

This was a Digital Media Design project. We were to create an infographic on our chosen topic. I chose to write about intergenerational trauma.

The copy and design are both mine.

I chose teal and orange as contrasting colours. I created the people using photographs as an inspiration. And I used water to lead people’s eyes down the path and as a symbol for the “trickle down” impact that intergenerational trauma brings.

If I were to work on this any further, I would change the font and watch the kerning and spacing.

Nuit Blanche promo in black and white – CreComm Assignment

In this assignment, we were provided copy. We were to create a design without colour. This was to test our ability to use contrast.

I chose to highlight the Provencher Bridge, also known as the Esplanade Riel.
